Many of the goods and services you use on a daily basis, including groceries, housing, furniture and banking, are provided by consumer co-ops. In fact, many people believe consumer cooperatives to be the purest form of co-op because they provide ownership and control to people when they are least likely to have it — when they're receiving goods and services.
